Brian joined Apex Physical Therapy as the Managing Director of the Blue Bell office in December of 2003. He has been practicing for more than 10 years in outpatient orthopedics since graduating with a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Daemon College in Amherst, New York. Brian also holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Sciences from Lock Haven University. Brian recently earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Daemon College in April 2006. He has had the opportunity to work directly with orthopedic surgeons on a wide variety of musculoskeletal disorders both pre and post-surgical. Brian is a certified orthopedic manual therapist and has a strong interest in joint mobilization and manipulation, as well as soft tissue techniques for the treatment of musculoskeletal dysfunction. Brian is also a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He has developed both general and sport specific exercise programs for patients and clients. Brian is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and stays abreast of current research in the field of physical therapy through continuing education courses. In his free time Brian enjoys karate, working out and spending time with his wife and three children.
Greg Schaab, DPT
Physical Therapist
Greg joined Apex Physical Therapy’s Blue Bell office in September of 2005. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from Penn State University in State College, Pennsylvania. He pursued his graduate education at Arcadia University in Glenside, Pennsylvania where he received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Greg is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association as well as the Orthopedic and Sports Sections. His clinical interests include sports medicine, spinal rehabilitation and various diagnoses associated with orthopedic injuries. Greg is continuously looking to further his expertise through continuing education courses. Outside of the clinic, Greg enjoys playing and watching a variety of sports, especially golf and spending time with his wife and daughter.
Lisa Washabaugh, PT
Physical Therapist
Lisa joined Apex Physical Therapy’s Blue Bell office in August of 2007. She graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from Russell Sage College in Troy, New York in 1981. Lisa has been practicing for 26 years and brings to Apex a wealth of experience from many areas of physical therapy, including orthopedics, sports medicine and women’s health. Her unique experience treating women with cancer, pelvic pain, incontinence and pre- and post-natal problems makes her one of the few physical therapists in the area to provide these types of care. Lisa has worked in variety of both in- and outpatient settings, including nursing homes, nursery schools, hospitals and sports medicine centers. She has also provided home health care to orthopedic, pediatric, neurological and geriatric patients. In addition, Lisa has managed multiple physical therapy offices, as well as served as a clinical instructor for physical therapy students during the span of her career. Lisa plans to further her education by pursuing her doctorate in Physical Therapy. Also, she has and will continue attending continuing education courses throughout the year in order to stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in the profession.
Outside the clinic, Lisa enjoys bicycling, camping, cooking and traveling with her husband and children.
Hannah Leatherman, DPT
Physical Therapist
Hannah joined Apex Physical Therapy’s Blue Bell office in March of 2010. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Arcadia University in February of 2010. Prior to graduate school, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Sport and Exercise Science from Messiah College. She has clinical experience in pediatric, outpatient orthopedics, and inpatient rehabilitation settings. Her specific clinical interests include treatment of neck, back, sacroiliac joint injuries, pediatrics and sport medicine. Hannah is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and is looking to attend continuing education courses to further enhance her clinical skills. Outside the clinic, Hannah enjoys spending time with her husband, playing soccer and working with her youth group at church.
