Dana Adelizzi, PT, DPT

Dana joined the staff of Apex Physical Therapy at the Pottstown-Coventry office in June of 2005 and became the Managing Director in October 2010. She graduated from Widener University in May of 2005, where she earned her Doctorate degree in physical therapy. Dana also completed the certificate program in Health Care Management from the School of Business Administration. Prior to attending Widener, Dana received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in physical therapy from Bloomsburg University in 1999. She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association nationally. Dana enjoys working with people of all ages with an array of diagnoses and functional limitations. Outside of the clinic, Dana enjoys staying active and spending time with her husband and daughter.
Rachel Shimko, PT, DPT
Physical Therapist
Assistant Managing Director
Rachel joined Apex Physical Therapy’s Pottstown-Coventry office in June of 2010 and was promoted to Assistant Managing Director in June of 2011. She received both her doctorate of Physical Therapy and certificate of Health Care Management from Chester, Pennsylvania’s Widener University in May of 2003. Prior to attending Widener, she attended Slippery Rock University in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. Rachel enjoys treating patients with both Orthopaedic and Neurologic diagnoses. She incorporates both personal training and wellness into her treatment sessions. Rachel previously managed a Skilled Nursing Facility and worked part-time in an outpatient clinic. She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Outside the clinic, she enjoys exercising and reading, as well as spending time with friends and family by making a great homemade meal.
Karin Tursack, PT, MPT
Physical Therapist
Karin joined Apex Physical Therapy’s Pottstown-Coventry office in August of 2009. She graduated from St. Ambrose University in December of 2002 where she earned her Masters of Physical Therapy degree. Prior to this, Karin earned her Bachelors of Art degree in Psychology from Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. During her career, she has treated a wide array of patients with orthopedic and neurological disorders. She has also participated in sports screenings for local universities and high schools, managed a work hardening program and mentored physical therapy students. Karin has a special interest in furthering her education in manual therapy and sports medicine. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys running, mixed martial arts and spending time with her daughters.
